Pulsed green Fiber Laser for underwater-telemetry

PGFL

New comer in PGFL family :

The TURACO, our new miniaturized laser, designed to be the smallest and most integrated OEM Pulsed Green Fiber Laser of the market with a total weight below 650 g.

PGFL

Pulsed green Laser transmitter for underwater-telemetry and environment applications

PGFL series lasers are compact and reliable. They are ideal for environmental monitoring applications and especially for underwater-telemetry. the green beam is the one which propagates the farthest into the sea, thus PGFL is essential for undersea mapping and 3D scanning. The robust design does not need maintenance.

Underwater-telemetry, range finding or environmental monitoring applications find their master tool with the Lumibird’s PGFL. With its low attenuation propagation into turbid environments, the green laser beam is the most efficient for underwater measurements.

This compact pulsed green fiber laser is composed of 2 parts: First of all, a compact and high peak power Ytterbium pulsed fiber laser is linked to a compact and temperature stabilized second harmonic generator. Therefore it delivers a wavelength of 532nm with high pulse energy up to 50µJ.

The output beam is free spaced or fiber coupled with 80% of coupling efficiency on request.

The narrow linewidth of the Ytterbium fiber laser allows a high-efficiency frequency doubling. Therefore, power consumption is limited.

Both active and passive modules are robust and comfortable to be integer into complex systems.

This pulsed green fiber laser is manufactured under a careful quality management and therefore does not require maintenance.

Finally, the pulsed fiber laser system is delivered with an interface module that permits to drive PGFL very quickly. Lumibird is proposing a free support with a dedicated team for the integration of the pulsed green fiber laser.
